So you love cooking. The thrill of a cake rising. The beauty of a batter coming to together. The sizzle of a grill. The tantalizing aromas of spices and extracts filling your home.  You constantly think about what concoction you can whip up next!  Or perhaps, you don’t know how.  You couldn’t boil water to save your life. So, another night it is, of chicken nuggets and mac n cheese.


In the back of your mind is this small voice. Nagging you about the calories. The carbs. The fat. The preservatives.  All the “bad” things in those meals you are preparing. You hear it whisper about those jeans you have folded in your drawer. And that little dress you have hidden in the back of the closet. You  glance your slightly snug sweats that seem to have become a permanent part of your wardrobe. Then cast your gaze over to the elliptical propped up in the corner, where you laundry is hanging.  A feeling of guilt washes over you, but you carry on with the task at hand.
